Mette Ejrnæs and Thomas Jørgensen's paper “Family Planning in a Life-Cycle Model with Income Risk"
accepted for publication in Journal of Applied econometrics.
In recent research, Mette Ejrnæs and Thomas Jørgensen study how family planning in couples are affected by the presence of income risk. They estimate a dynamic model with incomplete fertility control and abortion availability using UK data. The results suggest that abortion is especially used to control fertility in the presence of income risk.
