Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) Course
Assistant Professor at DERG Neda Trifkovic delivered a training-of-trainers course on Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) using KoBo Toolbox software for staff members and affiliates of the Centre for Economic and Social Development (CESD) in Yangon, Myanmar.
The course provided participants with an overview of the software characteristics, types of survey questions and methods for developing a survey. Practical aspects such as online and offline usage, data storage, management and distribution were also covered during the two-day training.
In addition to the lectures, the course included practical exercises in which participants developed and deployed own surveys.
The training relates to the preparations of conducting surveys within the REALM project in 2019 and 2020. The aim of the training is to provide capacity-building for the CESD staff and affiliates to develop their statistics skills to ensure a successful implementation of these surveys.
Additional training courses under the REALM project will be organized in 2019.
