Novo Nordisk Foundation-funded @EQUAL project included in this year’s WIDER conference
On 5-7 October 2022, UNU-WIDER in partnership with Universidad de los Andes hosted in Bogota, Colombia, a conference on reducing inequality.
The conference programme included a parallel session on the UPCH-DERG project The Impact of Inequality on Growth, Human Development and Governance (@EQUAL).

@EQUAL is a collaboration between the University of Copenhagen, UNU-WIDER, Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique, and the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) in Vietnam.
The project, funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation, investigates the impact of inequality on major economic and political outcomes, including attention to the implications of reconceptualising and measuring inequality in absolute versus relative terms.
