Staff Retreat, Department of Economics
The staff retreat will take place at Konventum in Helsingør from Thursday the 24th to Friday the 25th of October, 2024.

Venue
The staff retreat will take place at Konventum, Erling Jensens Vej 1, 3000 Helsingør.
Transport to venue
Thursday 24 October: A bus will leave Copenhagen University, Øster Farimagsgade 5 at approx. 8:30.
Friday 25 October: Departure from Konventum at 14:30. Arrival at Copenhagen University at approx. 15:15.
Public transport:
Take Kystbanen (the coast line) from e.g. Nørreport Station to Helsingør Station. Then bus 353 to Hellebo Park. And then there is approx. a 6 minutes' walk to Konventum.
Car:
It takes approx. 45 minutes by car from Copenhagen to Konventum. Konventum has more than 450 free parking spaces and six parking spaces for electric cars.

Arrival
Arrival and "check-in" from 9:30-10:00. The plenary meeting will take place in Damgaardssalen. Coffee/tea including a snack will be ready in Dagligstuen from 9:30.
Rooms and breakfast
- Rooms are ready from 14:00. You can leave your luggage in the wardrobe.
- Check-out is at 9:00 at the latest.
- Breakfast is served from 7:00 - 9:30.
Meeting rooms
Plenary sessions will take place in Damgaardssalen situated on Plan 1. In addition to this, we have 10 smaller meeting rooms on Plan 1, 2 and 3.
Plan 1: Damgaardssalen and small meeting rooms (C14, C15 and C16)
Plan 2: Main entrance, restaurant, Dagligstuen and a small meeting room (B25)
Plan 3: Small meeting rooms (B38, B39, B40, B42, B43 and B45)
Food and drinks
We will cover the following meals during the stay:
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- Coffee breaks
- Dinner (two-course meal including coffee/tea and 2 glasses of wine or 2 beers or 2 soft drinks)
Snacks and/or beverages not included in the above will be at your own expense and payable at the bar or the reception.
The bar closes at 24:00. All common areas must be vacated no later than 04.00 😉
Free time
Konventum has many different indoor and outdoor activities.
There are several areas where you can play darts, billiards, table football or table tennis. Or you could have fun with card games and board games.
A fitness room equipped with training machines is also available as well as changing rooms with sauna and shower.
Take a dip in Øresund (a 10 minutes’ walk from Konventum), try one of the four Petanque courts or go for a walk/run.
