DERG report makes headlines in Vietnam

The launch of the recently completed research report “Characteristics of the Vietnamese Rural Economy: Evidence from a 2010 Rural Household Survey in 12 Provinces of Vietnam” has been covered by at least 23 different Vietnamese media, including a front-page story in the leading, English language newspaper, Vietnam News. The report presents survey-based analyses of several key issues in rural development, such as agricultural markets, access to credit and social capital. It is prepared in collaboration between the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM), the Institute for Labour Sciences and Social Affairs (ILSSA), the Institute for Policy and Strategy for Agricultural and Rural Development (IPSARD) and DERG.
